Description

Leaving Clonakilty refreshed, we pedal through lush farmland towards Long Strand where we may have time for a “quick dip” in the Atlantic Ocean. Next, we come to Owenahincha and then Rosscarbery with it’s pretty Village Square. 

From Rosscarbery it’s onward to Glandore where a coffee/lunch is a must, overlooking its picturesque harbour and Adam & Eve Islands. 

After our break it’s time to head to Union Hall over an old steel single-lane bridge and then Westwards towards Baltimore, having visited the village of Castletownsend, the beach at Tragumna and the very pretty sea lake of Lough Ine. 

In Baltimore we have plenty opportunities of dining overlooking the Harbour, Sherkin Island and the Castle of the O’Driscoll Clan.
